Okay.. fess up! Who's responsible for it being 95 freaking degrees today?? Those of you who know me know that I have run hot since I was about 30... though now in my old age, everyone assumes it's menopause🙄

But ugh! And my poor, lovely, accommodating clients they see me working hard and getting very hot and they do everything try to make me comfortable but realistically, I'm only comfortable when my ambient, environmental temperature is about 68° LOL which is not comfortable for most people! So yeah it's going to be close to 30° above that!

Whhhyyyyy??? 🥵

Here's a neat tip (rule) for organizing and decluttering!

You very likely have too many dishes, cups, mugs and utensils. The info below may seem extreme or shocking at first, but if you try it out for a week or two, you'll enjoy it!

● One or two people: 4 of each
● Three people: Six of each
● Four people: Eight of each
● Five people: Ten of each.... etc.

This accomplishes a few things....
1.) Reduces cabinet clutter and frees up space;
2.) Reduces the amount of dishes in the sink at any given time; and
3.) Forces you to do the dishes more often.

Now I can already hear the chorus.... "So you're saying I need to get rid of all of my extra dishes, mugs, cups and utensils?"

NO!

Throw out any items that are cracked or mismatched, then store the extras in a tote to be put in the basement, attic, wherever. This way if you have company, or one of the dishes, mugs, or cups breaks, you will still have a full set!

Cleaning a home post-remodel to remove all that tenacious construction dust and allow the homeowner to come home to a nice, clean, shiny home remodel! Careful to use and replace shoe covers often to not track! We want the first tracks in the home to be theirs! 😊🎉

A really great strategy I created for myself to curb bringing home clutter that I don't need:

Imagine you are in a store. You see an item you like. You pick it up. Ask yourself these questions:

1.) Do I NEED this or do I WANT this?

Want is FINE... but start there. Then ask:

2.) Where am I going to put it?

If you cannot answer this, put it down immediately. However, if you do have an answer for it, just put the item in your cart or basket, continue shopping. Take the URGENCY out of the decision. Almost always, by the time I get to the register, I don't even want it anymore. But that sense of IMMEDIATE DECISION MAKING is too stressful.

What a way to start a monday! So my wonderful clients this morning left me a delicious gluten-free, vegan cupcake as a snack during my work. Now, I'm not someone who has food allergies, I'm a regular meat eater, I'm pretty low maintenance! So usually when someone tells me that something is gluten free and vegan I prepped myself for to taste like sawdust.

This cupcake was so flavorful and amazing I wish I had had a dozen more! I got to get this recipe to spread around because I couldn't even believe that this was a gluten-free vegan cupcake! What a way to start a monday! I am so lucky to have such nice clients!
