Windy River Farm & Farm Stand 🐥🐓🐐🌾🌻

Located at the top of Parker Woods Drive off of Downing Road in Arundel, Maine is a locally owned and run farm / farm stand by McKenzie and Tyler Parker - my sister in law and brother! 🫶🏻

This locally owned stand is quickly becoming a local favorite, selling out fast when welcoming doors open! McKenzie raises pasture roaming free chickens, collecting “Emmie’s Eggs” which my beautiful niece helps with each and everyday! 🥰 She bakes the most amazing sourdough breads, sweet treats, jams, spreads, oils and has the most darling homemade items like bug spray, key chains and magnesium spray! ☺️ There is even a Little Free Library outside the doors 📚

This isn’t your average farm stand! Every detail is meticulous 😍 It’s truly a hidden gem that I hope all my clients can take the time to experience this season! 😉 Please take a visit whether by stroll, bike or car - trust me, it’ll be the best farm stand experience you’ve had! My favorite time of year… opening the lake house! It means Memorial Weekend isn’t far away, it means my grandparents are on their way home for the summer from Florida, it means family memories, laughter, boating, fishing, grilling and late nights spent around a bon fire! 😍

For nearly 55 years, this camp has been in our family 💛 My cousin and I whipped our dormant lake house into tip top shape; a full deep clean! She is ready for 2026 summer of fun in the sun ☀️

Anddd who else can say Miss Maine deep cleans with them? 😉 Paige and I are excited to welcome our grandparents home knowing they don’t have to lift a finger at the camp and can just sit back and enjoy! 🫶🏻

Hello 👋🏻
It’s been a hot minute, we have many new followers and we just needed an update! I’m Ashley Parker - Owner, CEO and Master Cleaner at Maid in the Port LLC 🙎🏻‍♀️ I grew up in Arundel, Maine where I still currently reside with my family 💛

I come from a long line of type A, OCD females (thanks Mom and Mem) who instilled in me a love for cleaning at a very young age! I have loved to clean for as long as I can remember… I cleaned for family and friends as a side hobby before opening my company in 2022 🗓️

Maid in the Port LLC was created to be an outlier within the cleaning industry 🤩 I haven’t run my company like an average cleaning company because we aren’t average! For years, I had seen so many companies “cookie cutter cleaning” by offering the same standard packaged services to their clients and their clients weren’t being satisfied! 😏 I wanted to stand out and offer a new type of company that Maine hadn’t seen before; customized cleanings specialized to each home and every client 🤌🏻

Believe it or not, my Bachelors and Masters degrees are in business and accounting 🧮📊 I know… what am I doing and how did I get here? Well, COVID happened! I had my then dream job as an Auditor for a large national accounting firm and was getting ready to take my CPA exam when I realized I couldn’t do this for the rest of my life! I was working longer than desired hours and missing out on key parts of my children’s lives 👦🏼👧🏼⏱️ I took the leap into cleaning world and I’ve never looked back 🙏🏻

One of my biggest focuses in my company is the client experience! After all, cleaning someone’s most intimate space: their home 🏡 is not only an investment for my clients, it’s a partnership 🤝 I wanted to give my clients peace of mind knowing their needs and wants were being met while also having proper communication and business procedures in place to ensure a seamless experience. I wanted my company to not only be known for exceptional cleanings but to be sought after for our reliability, dependability and trustworthiness🫶🏻

Every detail is meticulously planned… beginning with introductions, touring the home, estimation processes, client welcomes and communication, confirmations and of course, the cleanings 🙃 We go the extra mile from the beginning to the end ensuring our clients feel like they’re the only client whenever we’re in their homes! 😌 I take great pride in closing the front door knowing the next time it’s opened, clients are coming home to sparkling, perfection each and every clean 🚪

It has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life opening this business 🥰 I genuinely love what I do and that shows in every home we clean! I believe that is one of the reasons my client retention is so high: I care in a different way and I’m proud of that 🙌🏻

I am so grateful for the last almost 5 years of operations, our roster of amazing clients, all the new clients we will welcome as we continue to grow and to all the cleans we have yet to encounter! When your hands are full, place your trust in ours ✨

People frequently ask me “why don’t you do a ton of deep cleans Ashley?” My answer is usually two parts: 1) My clients have all been with me for the long term - thankfully 🙏🏻 and have regular maintenance cleanings after their initial deep cleans so a deep cleaning is usually not again needed 2) My schedule is so jam packed with my clients that stay with me long term, I usually can’t accommodate for a lot of deep cleans 🗓️ However every now and then, a client calls, their plans change or a property on my rental roster needs something done and of course, I jump! That’s what I do… that’s what Maid in the Port LLC is all about 🙌🏻

This deep clean was a soul pour! A labor of actual love☺️ Liz and I spent a total time together of 14 hours on her (4 hands together do some serious wonders)🤯 She tested us in a few ways but eventually she gave in and she is sparkling all the way through! 😍 Every inch of this 3,200 square foot home plus basement is gleaming with pride ready for new life and memories made! 🫶🏻

Windows scrubbed right down to their locks with detail brushes, glass cleaned, baseboards, heaters, switches, outlets, ceiling fans… 🪟🪞🖼️ Doors, closet shelving, light fixture globes removed, toilet seats taken off and detailed, cabinets polished, drawers cleaned to their every corner, oven cleaned, fridge detailed, appliances looking brand new, railings buffed, faucets polished and sanitized, carpets looking like they were just laid… 🚪🪑🛁🚽🚰

What happened in those 14 hours was nothing short of magic 🪄😮‍💨💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve now cleaned for these clients for years… their rentals, business, home! We’ve established trust, reliability and a relationship in a partnership with cleaning 🧽🤝 They know when they call Maid in the Port, they’re getting a clean that brings it “home” every single time 🏡 It’s who we are! 😊

It’s officially rental season here at Maid in the Port LLC! I love this time of year! 😍 All my seasonal clients are traveling home for the summer and we’re starting to do big deep/opening cleanings, our rental properties that have been dormant all winter are going under opening deep cleans so they’re ready for their turnover cleanings all season… it’s just exciting stuff! 🤩🥳

The crew and I spent the afternoon on a rental property tucked into the heart of Wells today getting her ready for her first renters of the season this upcoming week! Ceiling fans, to windows, cabinets, laundry, resetting beds, restocking renters supplies, interior of appliances; you think it can get dusty or dirty? We cleaned it! Andddddd the house is sparkling ✨

This is my third rental season at this property - I couldn’t feel more blessed to be trusted with their beautiful rental home ☺️

Announcing…. Lucie 🧽 Spring/Summer Cleaning Assistant 🪣🧺🧼

Lucie has been cleaning by my side since Maid in the Port LLC was opened; she is my daughter! But don’t let the tiny size or smile fool ya! She takes on a bathroom with a grown woman’s vengeance 🤩👊🏻 Lucie will be returning for Spring and Summer to assist our Master and Executive Cleaners! 🫶🏻

Lucie is a First Honors (straight As)📚student at Thornton Academy Middle School and will be finishing up the 6th grade in June. She plays basketball 🏀 year round at XLP in Portland on their 7th grade girls AAU team, basketball for her school team, and also plays soccer ⚽️ Her soccer team made it all the way to the Maine State Championship this previous fall! When Lucie isn’t on a court, field or studying, she enjoys spending time at the lake and cuddling with her pocket pitbull, Neenah Jane🐶 When she grows up, she doesn’t want to take over cleaning for Mom - she has her heart set on being an FBI Agent 😎 For now, Agent Lucie to the bathroom please; those toilets and sinks are criminal! 😜

Lucie’s favorite cleaning task is bathroom deep cleans because she can see the transformation occur right before her eyes! 🚽🚿🧻🛁 She also loves cleaning kitchens, as she finds it to be calming to organize and disinfect as she cleans 👏🏻
