so this gurl has been through alot in the last 24 hours lol

great news tho! her shoes cleaned up super easily and are no longer dull and moldy! they are now shining like brand new as they should! the yellowing on her arms and quite a bit on the back of her neck MOSTLY scrubbed off easily with a magic eraser (PHEW!) there is a bit of faint staining where it was but its not very noticeable thankfully.

i removed her head to wash and condition her base hair and tail because i was honestly worried about what was lingering inside her head. that and trying to get her legs back on after removing is a total pain! thankfully no mold inside but definitely alot of dirt which came off easily with a toothbrush. UNFORTUNATELY i noticed most her blush was gone after i set her aside to dry. it wasn’t the magic eraser as it was all still there after cleaning her face. not sure when it came off but kinda upsetting.

her hair is absolutely STUNNING!! SO INCREDIBLY SHINY!!! ✨✨✨✨ the kind of bright, blinding shine you can only get from a doll who has never been played with! 😍😍😍 in the videos of her hair, that is right after drying. i have yet to touch her hair with ANY BRUSHES. no shining or styling as of yet 😍✨ however her hair does seem to be dry rotting or at least very poorly rooted as a good portion of it came out while washing and rinsing. i have yet to see any missing plugs tho.

her box i tried to clean with a VERY lightly damp rag with just a small amount of dawn dish soap. i did not apply any pressure whatsoever when scrubbing on her box as i didnt want to affect the cardboard or graphics whatsoever. safe to say it worked and OMG the amount of dirt that came off was RIDICULOUS!

so far this gurl is turning out fabulous and i cant wait to see her all finished and put back together! 😍

UPDATE: im probably going to keep the doll and see if i cant get at least a partial refund. this doll doesnt deserve to live her life in filth any longer. im going to remove the plastic wrappings and clean those the best i can and replace them. cinny herself will also be getting a thorough scrubbing and hair wash/condition.

well. safe to say i am not pleased with this doll 😫

not one single piece of protection/bubble wrap or packing anywhere in sight. also NONE of these issues were disclosed by the seller. this doll is filthy. there is even dirt INSIDE the plastic on her face and arms. it was probably ALL have to be removed. 😢 even inside her shoes. her one arm is also almost completely yellow. granted she is a 55 year old doll and is bound to have some issues but this doll looks and smells like it was stored in a dirty shed her whole life. if i had know she had all these issues i probably would have passed on her but she was a good price. i wish the seller would have put some more effort into the description and issues/flaws with this doll.

i bought this doll because she would have been the first doll i had in my entire collection that was basically MIB. she still has all her plastic wrappings and whatnot. i was going to put her in my cabinet on display. i guess im still searching for that minty crisp condition doll for an affordable price. oh well. to the salon i guess. 😞 removing all the original plastic is going to kill me but it must be done. i think that might be mold on her shoes but i dont know.

SOOO…I DID A THING…

so i just bought this gorgeous girl on ebay! she will be my FIRST EVER basically MIB doll. she still has her head and tail wrap as well as the plastic protectors on her arms! and better yet…she is a CROSS LASH cinny!

OH MAN is it gunna be so hard not to play with that perfectly smooth and shiny hair!! as soon as she gets here im taking pictures and then placing her in a clear protective bag for display and into my display cabinet she goes.
