If you’d like to share personal care products, simply place them on the shelves or drop off at the service counter. Opened items are fine, as long as they’re still useable.

Come and get your Narcan tomorrow (Saturday) anytime between 11:00-1:00 at County Seat Laundry - Viroqua. After our daughter died, we decided that a part of our mission would be to get Narcan into the hands of everyone possible…if you carry it, you can save a life. Training will be available by Veronica Hoiland for those who want it.

Preparing for company and need to get a lot done fast? We are open for self service every day of the year, including holidays. Doors open at 5 am and close at 10 pm. Last wash is 9 pm.

The service counter is open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, 8 am-3 pm, and closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. 🎄🍾

Great news: Our free Personal Care Corner is expanding!

We outgrew the space on the little free bookshelf (thank you for your donations), so we moved everything over to what was the coffee bar and game/toy rack. Games and toys are now next to the library shelves. The coffee stayed where it was. Got all that? 🤪

If not, don't worry. Look for these shelves ⤵ and you'll see what we mean.

Speaking of shelves, some are a little empty and others are full.

We need:

✅ Lotion
✅ Deodorant
✅ Toothpaste
✅ Soap and shower gel
✅ Menstrual supplies

We have lots of incontinence products in various styles and sizes, so if you know someone in need, send them here!

If you'd like to donate, now's a great time to clear out personal care items just getting in your way. Opened items are fine. Just make sure the contents are usable. New products are always welcome too. You can either drop things off at our service counter, M-F, 8-5, and Saturdays, 10-2, or simply place your donated items on the shelves.

If you'd like to browse, visit anytime between 5 am and 10 pm, any day of the week. Don't be shy if you need anything at all. Remember--this isn't charity. It's community.

Hello, community.

You're awesome. Did you know that?

Thanks to your donations to our House Account, we are now able to refill the pre-paid laundry cards distributed at area food pantries. 💚💙

If you have one of those cards, here are things to know:

✅ How much will be added?
$20, just like the initial amount placed on the card.

✅ How often can the card be refilled?
Monthly. Our software keeps track of when money is added, so we will be able to tell you exactly when we can add another $20.

✅ How far does $20 go?
It's enough to wash and dry 80 pounds of laundry with a little money left over. 👖👕

✅ How does the money get added?
Bring your card to our service counter, M-F, 8 am - 5 pm, or Saturdays, 10 am - 2 pm. We'll refill your card on the spot.

If you don't have a card but need one, they are still available at food pantries and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). It's a good idea to contact them first, though, just to make sure they still have cards available. If not, let us know and we'll send them more!

A young woman walked through the front doors with $5 in her hands. "Here, this is for your fund to help people do their laundry," she said. "I do my laundry at a laundromat closer to home," she explained, "but I know what it's like to struggle."

Because of her giving spirit and many others of you who stepped up, we are delighted to announce that we're able to fund an additional 70 laundry cards, each pre-loaded with $20. We also added another distribution location, the G**s Mills Food Pantry.

Things to know:

✅ To stretch the money on the card, we discount the washer price and provide credits toward free dries
✅ The cards are refillable
✅ They look like credit or debit cards so there's no stigma when using them
✅ People can use the cards anytime, including during our Happy Hour deal, 4-6 pm daily, which offers an additional $2 off any size washer
✅ $20 is enough to wash and dry 80 pounds of laundry, with some money left over
