Someone stole the mirror off the wall in our bathroom along with the paper towels and TP...

We don't make alot money considering we are still paying for the building and improvements.

Whoever did this is next level scoundrel. This is why we can't have nice things. We can't keep the hand soap too full or it's stolen! Ridiculous... They had to bring in a screw driver for this! Shame on you.

Jems will remain open 24hrs a day. We will be washing all surfaces with bleach and Clorox Wipes. We tried to put sanitizer in the bathroom but it was stolen so we ask that you use your own. Please wash hands with hot as you can stand water, we provided some soap. We can't fill the entire bottle or it will be stolen. We have many elderly customers who need our service so please come with as few people as possible.

Consider:

- Come in to start your machines, but wait in your car till the cycle ends.

- Do not eat or drink in the laundry.

- You may still use our folding tables, but consider folding at home.

- Maintain a six-foot distance between yourself and others if possible.

Additionally, we will remove all reading materials and chairs.

Change machine is fixed!

We have been told two suspects are in custody caught breaking into Northern, IL laundromat.

I have been fighting cancer, losing my breasts, getting horrible irreversible side effects. We are drenched in medical debt and on Christmas night our small business was robbed.
The masked man spray painted the cameras drilled into my change machine (small town laudromat in Westby) and took everthing.This Christmas I built up more debt buying gifts I shouldn't have bought on a credit card and I am looking at 3000 more for another surgery in January.
So my husband and I will carry on.... I will wish no I'll will on the man. Instead I will wish that his life improves. That he can somehow turn himself around. Maybe find true love. Maybe he needed that money for medical debt too. Obviously he must not have a family to spend Christmas with. Or could not afford to buy his kids gifts.
What he did is wrong. Our business dosent make enuf money to break even since it pays for the loan, new machines and our home, the apartment above. I can not work due to several complications in surgeries that left me partially paralized and with Chronic scar & nerve issues. So my husband picked up a second job today and we are soooo grateful for that opportunity. We may not see each other as much but we have a roof over our heads. Medical staff that do their best to help me. A wonderful dog. And food in our bellies. My 20 year old son is responsible and wise. Healthy and an empath always willing to help others. We are more blessed than many.
Therefore, whoever you are, I forgive you with tears in my eyes for the life you think you must live. I hope things turn out for you. I wish you a Merry christmas. If you get caught with the footage we gave the police, perhaps you can earn a degree while in prison. Bless those who feel the need to hurt us, for they hurt as well..
