One of the biggest mistakes people make with carpet stains? Scrubbing them.
We get it. Something spills, and the first instinct is to grab a towel and start rubbing.
But aggressive scrubbing can spread the stain, push it deeper, and damage the carpet fibers.
A better approach:
Blot gently with a clean, white towel. Start from the outside and work your way in. Avoid soaking the carpet or mixing random cleaning products.
And if you've already tried a few things and the stain isn't budging, sometimes the best move is to leave it alone until you can get it professionally treated.
We're curious: What's the one stain you've never been able to get out of your carpet?
Coffee? Red w**e? Something your kids or pets left behind?
