We had another trash load catch fire today. Second one in the past 2 months. This one was caused by a laptop. Driver was quick to react and found a clear area to dump it out before it burned down a truck or injured someone. This is a reminder, please do not throw cell phones, laptops or anything that has lithium batteries, they explode when crushed. Special thank you to Grant Morgan for helping clean up and the picture rocks fire department for the quick response time. Need to take a moment to thank the crew at Avra Valley Fire for helping with what we call in the industry a hot load. Grateful our driver was quick to react and that everyone is safe. We need to take this time to remind everyone to not dispose of flammable materials in your trash cans. No lithium batteries (lap tops, tablets, phones, car batteries or flammable chemicals.
