TO MY LOVING FRIENDS, FAMILY & CLIENTS!!
As many of you know, my son Henry will be undergoing a very intensive surgery on June 12th, 2026 known as Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). This is a specialized neurosurgical procedure that is performed to help reduce the severe muscle tightness and spasticity caused by cerebral palsy. During the surgery, doctors carefully identify and cut specific sensory nerve fibers in the spine that contribute to abnormal muscle stiffness, with the hope of improving his mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life long term.
As a mother, my heart and focus will be fully devoted to being by his side through every step of this journey, surgery, and recovery process. Because of this, Maid by Mary will be temporarily on pause for the month of June and July while I take the time needed to care for him and help him heal.
Business will remain as scheduled up until Wednesday June 10th as we prepare for our 4 week recovery stay in Atlanta. I will do my absolute best to reschedule and work with all of you to the best of my ability so the transition process is as smooth as possible.
This surgery is a major step for our family, and while we are hopeful and trusting in God through it all, we also know the recovery process will be intense and require patience, strength, and constant support. Henryβs health, comfort, and healing are my absolute priority, and I will be putting 100% of my time and energy into making sure he has the love and care he needs during his recovery.
I humbly ask for prayers over my son, the surgeons, nurses, therapists, and everyone involved in his care. Please pray that God guides every hand involved in this surgery, gives our family peace and strength through the difficult moments, and blesses my son with a smooth procedure, steady progress, and a speedy recovery.
I will absolutely miss all of you during my absence but rest assured I will be more than ready to get right back to it after Henry has recovered in due time. Thank you all for your support, understanding, and prayers. They are appreciated more than anything.
With Love,
Maid by Mary β€οΈ
