Memorial Day Service Reminder 🇺🇸

All trash & recycling routes the week of Memorial Day will be delayed by one day from the normal collection day.

We had a great time representing Smith Sanitation Services at Clear Creek Amana Elementary Career Day!

Thank you to the Clear Creek Amana Community School District for inviting us to share what the sanitation industry is all about. The students asked great questions and loved seeing the truck up close… although most of them decided they definitely didn’t enjoy the smell of a garbage truck!

Update 3/16:

If you are on our Monday curbside garbage and recycling routes, please pull your cans in today and set them back out tomorrow morning.

Due to a very low number of set-outs this morning, we will be running back through the routes tomorrow to ensure everyone gets collected. Some customers received recycling collection but not garbage — if that is the case, we are still coming back to complete your pickup on tuesday 3/17.

We plan to stay on schedule for the rest of the week.

Morning folks!

We will be attempting to complete all of our customers that have riverside or hills addresses for both trash & recycle.

Customers who have iowa city, kalona or west branch addresses will be collected on tuesday 3/17.

This will allow the rest of the week to stay on schedule pending wednesday nights potential storm.

Subscription customers who have not been contacted will be contact by the end of the day. Any questions you can Text or call 3199301064.
