Almost 10 months later, and I’m still proud and also still in shock that I actually wrote this book.

Currently working on the second installment and I can’t wait for you to read. As a business entrepreneur, It’s funny when you sit back and see how far God has brought you through the things that you didn’t think were possible. But all things happen on his time/right on time.

Dating while building a business… let’s talk about it. 👀

Entrepreneurship already requires a lot from you — time, energy, patience, sacrifice, flexibility, and sometimes putting your business ahead of things simply because you have to.

But what happens when you’re also trying to build a relationship?

How do you balance making time for someone while still making time for your goals? How do you communicate when your schedule is unpredictable? And how do you know when you’re being understanding of your partner versus when you’re compromising too much of yourself or your business?

I’m genuinely curious about people’s experiences with this.

For those who are entrepreneurs and dating (or have dated an entrepreneur): what have you learned about balancing the two?

Did dating motivate you, distract you, teach you something, or maybe show you that the two require a different kind of balance than you expected?

I’d like to hear your thoughts.

The part of entrepreneurship nobody can really do for you? The learning.

You can watch other cleaners. You can take the courses. You can study the business. You can learn from people who are further ahead.

But eventually, you have to get in there and figure out what works for you.

The late nights. The imperfections. The complaints. The slow seasons. The financial stress. The content that gets 200 views. The waiting for that phone call. The moments where you wonder if you’re actually getting anywhere.

And then you look back six months later and realize… damn, I actually learned a lot. 😂

So if you’re a new solo cleaner still figuring it out, give yourself some grace.

You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Just don’t quit while you’re still learning. 🧼💪🏽

I’m sharing this screenshot with identifying information removed— because I think this is a good example of how quickly a simple misunderstanding between two people in the same industry can turn into unnecessary tension.

I had a situation recently where a comment on one of my cleaning posts was misunderstood.

I responded based on how I interpreted the comment, the commenter clarified what they meant, and honestly, that could’ve been the end of it.

But instead, the conversation turned into “get a sense of humor” and an unfollow.

And it got me thinking…

We are all cleaners.

We KNOW this business can be frustrating. We know not every stain comes out. We know sometimes there isn’t a dramatic before-and-after. We know what it’s like to post something and have somebody interpret it differently than we intended.

So why are we so quick to get slick with each other?

You don’t have to agree with another cleaner.
You don’t have to like their content.
You don’t even have to follow them.

But there’s a difference between having a sense of humor and being unnecessarily disrespectful.

Sometimes a comment doesn’t land the way you intended it to. That’s okay. Clarify it. Laugh it off. Keep it moving.

We can joke with each other without tearing each other down. We can disagree without being disrespectful. And if somebody rubs you the wrong way? Unfollow, mute, scroll—whatever keeps your peace. 😂

The cleaning industry is already hard enough without cleaners feeling like they have to compete with or belittle one another.

Let’s stop making each other the enemy.

There is room for all of us in this industry.

The dirt is already enough to deal with. We don’t need to create more of it amongst ourselves. 😂🧹
