🐾 Meet Maggie – Another Four-Legged Team Member! 🐾

Say hello to Maggie, one of our furry helpers here at Capital City Pest Control! 🐶

Maggie is 6 years old, and while she didn't grow up in the pest control life, she's adjusting to it pretty well!

She's still learning the ropes, but she's quickly figuring out that being part of the team means plenty of attention, belly rubs, and maybe a few treats along the way.

When Maggie isn't busy helping boost office morale, you can find her running around the property, chasing carpenter bees, or playing her favorite game of keep away with Jax and his ball. 🎾

She may not be out treating bugs, but she's certainly doing her part to keep everyone entertained!

Plastic spiders and fake webs are fun. The real thing showing up uninvited? A little less charming. This Halloween, the scariest houseguests are the ones that sneak in on their own: roaches in the pantry, spiders in the garage, and rodents in the walls.

The good news is that a haunted house is entirely optional. A pest free one is very doable.

Name: Grady Charbonneau
Position: Helper

Meet Grady, the littlest member of the Capital City Pest Control crew! He may not know much about the pest control business yet, but he's got plenty of time to learn! For now, he's our expert bug stomper, but don't worry, he'll make sure everyone knows there's a bug before he takes care of it! While he doesn't make it to the office too often, he definitely makes his presence known when he does!

When Grady isn't busy helping out, you can usually find him bugging his big brother, Hagen, playing with construction trucks, dinosaurs, or Paw Patrol toys. He's all boy and loves nothing more than playing in the mud, getting dirty, and exploring outside. And one thing's for sure, you'll rarely catch him without a snack in his hand!

Unlike his outgoing big brother, Grady can be a little shy when meeting new people. It might take him a minute to warm up, but once he gets to know you, watch out! His wild and silly personality comes out in full force!

🌾 Bugs In Your Grains? Meet The Weevil

You open the flour, the rice, or an old box of pasta, and something is crawling. Those tiny beetles are pantry weevils, and they almost always hitch a ride home hidden inside packaging from the store.

Once in your pantry, they spread from one item to the next fast, so tossing the one box you noticed is rarely enough.

🐾 Meet Jax – One of Our Four-Legged Team Members! 🐾

At 9 years old, Jax has mastered the art of sleeping on the job! 💤 While he spends most of his workday snoozing, he plays an important role here at Capital City Pest Control by keeping team morale high and putting smiles on everyone's faces.

We love having dogs around the office. They make the workday a little more enjoyable and remind us to slow down and enjoy the little things!

When Jax isn't hard at work napping, you can find him babysitting two little boys, duck hunting, or playing fetch with his sister, Maggie. 🦆🐕

As temperatures drop, mice, roaches, spiders, and more all start hunting for a warm place to wait out the cold, and your home is the top pick. The best defense is closing the door before they arrive.

Walk your home and seal gaps around pipes, vents, and utility lines, add weatherstripping and door sweeps, patch torn screens, and fill cracks in the foundation and siding.

A mouse only needs a gap the size of a dime. A little sealing now saves a lot of trapping later. Want a pro to find the openings you would miss? We are on it.

🚽 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗜𝘁, 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗜𝘁

Here is a pest fact that will change how you deal with roaches. If you kill a cockroach, do not just toss it in the trash. Females may be carrying an egg case, called an ootheca, that holds dozens of eggs, and it can still hatch even after she is gone.

Drop her in the kitchen bin and you might be starting a whole new generation right inside your home. Flushing is the safer bet.

Better yet, if you are seeing roaches often enough to be squishing them, there is a bigger issue nearby. Let's find the source and shut it down for good.

Meet Hagen, one of the youngest members of the Capital City Pest Control crew! Hagen helps keep things lively around the office. While he's busy with school most days, he occasionally stops by to lend a helping hand (or just run around and keep everyone on their toes!). He may be one of our smallest helpers, but believe it or not, he's not the littlest!

When Hagen isn't at school or visiting the office, you can usually find him outside jumping on his trampoline, working on puzzles, or playing with his Paw Patrol toys. He loves riding around the property looking for big banana spiders in the trees and catching lizards and frogs. Grasshoppers, though? He's not quite as big of a fan!

If you ever see Hagen around, be sure to say hello! Just like his dad, Travis, he's never met a stranger and will happily talk your ear off! 💚
