Picture this: You’re running errands, picking up tools from the shop, or leaving gear, detail equipment, or personal belongings in the bed of your truck. You’ve got a heavy-duty bed cover, but your tailgate doesn’t lock—or worse, to get a backup camera installed, you had to swap out your factory locking handle for a cheap aftermarket setup that sacrificed your security altogether.
Now every time you park in a public lot, grab lunch between jobs, or leave your truck unattended, you’re forced to choose: risk leaving hundreds (or thousands) of dollars in gear vulnerable, or cram everything into the cab.
You shouldn’t have to trade modern safety features for real-world utility.
That’s exactly why we re-engineered the backup camera setup on our 2006 GMC Sierra shop truck.
Instead of compromising on security with an unlocked aftermarket tailgate handle, we integrated a high-definition backup camera right above the rear license plate—clean, centered, and fully functional. This allowed us to re-install our heavy-duty locking OEM tailgate handle. Combined with our Roll-N-Lock retractable bed cover, the bed of the truck is now a fully secure, weatherproof vault.
Now, we get the best of both worlds: clear visibility when reversing in tight spaces or hitching trailers, and total peace of mind knowing our tools and inventory are completely locked down wherever the truck goes.
