✨ DONE IN POLO ✨

Today officially wrapped up the Polo Compassion Clean ❤️

What started as a house that felt overwhelming became a 40+ hour project filled with generosity, teamwork, and a whole lot of elbow grease 🧽✨
These before & afters only tell part of the story.

This project happened because people showed up.

Thank you to every single person who donated, sponsored hours, dropped money in donation bins, shared posts, sent encouragement, volunteered time, donated supplies, hauled trash, mowed grass, handled pest control, and believed in this mission.
Truly… thank you 🥹❤️

💫Special thank you to:

🤍 Sauk Valley Pest Control, Inc.
🤍 Ryan Dykema
🤍 Midwest Disposal/Ken. Duncan
🤍 McKenna's Floor Coverings
🤍 North End Auto & Tire LLC
🤍 Polo Fresh Food Market
🤍 Garden View Family Restaurant
🤍 Lindsley Chattic
🤍 And every anonymous sponsor who trusted me to help this family 🫶🥹
🤍 And anyone I accidentally forgot — please know I appreciate you more than you know 🤍

Because of you all, another family got a fresh start!

We are officially DONE in Polo 🥹

Before I close this chapter completely, I updated the Polo wishlist with a few household items still needed as this family settles back in — things like a toaster, microwave, rugs, towels, and some everyday kitchen and household basics.

If you'd like to help finish out this project with us, I'll drop the wishlist in the comments ❤️

And because this community continues to amaze me…
Compassion Clean is headed to Dixon next 👀

We currently have 4.5 hours in the fund ❤️

Thank you for helping me help people.👏🙌🫶

Finishing up Polo today 💪✨

This one officially becomes a 40+ hour house today 🥹 I honestly cannot believe we've had that many sponsored hours come in ❤️

Seriously…THANK YOU!🫶

Stay tuned for before & afters — and thank you again for helping me help this family ❤️

5.5 more sponsored hours in Polo today 🫶

Huge thank you to Lindsley Chattic for showing up again and volunteering his time and gas this morning. He tackled dishes, the tops of the fridges and cobwebs... honestly saved me at least two hours of work time. I am incredibly grateful.!.

Today’s goal was to finish…

Truthfully? I just didn’t have it in me 😅

BUT — we got a LOT done.

🗑️ Garbage
🕸️ Cobwebs
🧹 Dust
📦 Sorting & clearing

With Lindsley there for about 2 hours and me there for 5.5, we knocked out roughly 7–8 hours worth of work today together ❤️

And these photos? They say more than I can.

Tomorrow is actual cleaning day. Ceilings walls cabinets...

The kitchen and dining room are what’s left and I have a feeling cabinets, organizing, and putting everything back together will take another 4–5 hours.

Not finished yet…
But we are really close ❤️
Thank you all for supporting me and my chaos! It means the world 😘
As always links in comments! 👇

🫶 COMPASSION CLEAN | Little Update 🫶

I stopped by the Milledgeville house Monday just to check in and make sure things were staying manageable…

And honestly? It only took me about an hour to get through the whole house 🤍

That made me really happy.

It means they're keeping up with things — and honestly, that's the whole goal.

Not perfect.
Not spotless.
Just more manageable.

Because of that, I'd love to keep checking in once a month for a little maintenance visit if funding allows. If anyone would be interested in sponsoring one hour a month for the Milledgeville house, send me a message 🤍

Compassion Clean currently has about 7.5 sponsored hours left in the fund, and I'll be back in Polo Saturday morning to wrap up that project.

Which means… we're almost done helping our FOURTH local family 🥹🤍

That blows my mind a little.

After Polo, I'll be going back through applications and reaching out about the next clean.

This program keeps teaching me things too.

The big transformations absolutely matter… but I think I may be able to help more people by keeping projects a little smaller — around 4–6 hours at a time.

More homes.
More families.
More impact.

Thank you all for continuing to support this little one-woman community project 🤍

POLO HOUSE ❤️ | Progress Update

This Compassion Clean project is officially sitting at about 30.5 sponsored hours invested so far.

Friday I tackled the shower (1.5 hrs) and today the bedroom and closets got some much-needed love (4.5 hrs) — and honestly… these photos say more than I ever could ❤️

This one has been a big project.

Not perfect… but more functional.
More manageable.
More breathable.

And that matters.

Compassion Clean currently has about 8 sponsored hours remaining in the fund and I have 6 pending applications waiting for funding and review, with the next potential project likely in Dixon.

This work only continues because of this community.

Every donated hour, supply, share, encouraging comment, and sponsor has helped carry these projects forward and I am incredibly grateful for all of you ❤️

Please keep the support coming if you're able — because when the funding keeps moving, so can we.

Manageable, not perfect ✨

I don’t even know these people 😭🤍

A $500 donation came in today for Compassion Clean with a handwritten note asking me to use it to help others.

That’s 12.5 more sponsored cleaning hours.!.

I don’t have words other than… THANK YOU!

This community is something special ✨

Back in Polo Friday and Sunday! As long as sponsored hours keep coming in...I keep going 💪 🙃❤️❤️❤️

Hey friends & clients — I need your honest input.
Imagine $275 being taken from your paycheck two days before Christmas.
Ouch, right?
I’ve put off saying this for a long time because I never want anyone to feel shamed or uncomfortable, but we need to talk about last-minute cancellations.
As most of you know, this is my full-time income. When a clean is canceled last minute, I usually can’t fill that spot — which means that money is simply gone.
To be transparent:
• $1,430 lost in November
• $1,120 lost in December
That’s a big hit, and it’s not sustainable.
I truly try to be as flexible and understanding as possible — life happens, kids get sick, schedules change — and I always want to be fair. At the same time, I also need to protect the time I set aside for each home.
So I’m asking for your input:
➡️ Would a monthly deposit that goes toward your clean (kept if canceled without 48 hours’ notice) feel fair?
➡️ Or should I remove clients from the recurring schedule after two last-minute cancellations?
Looking ahead to next year, I do know that November and December will require advance sign-ups with a deposit, since those months are especially hard to refill.
For regular, ongoing cleans throughout the year — what feels reasonable and fair to you?
I truly love what I do and want to keep doing this long-term. I appreciate every one of you and your honesty more than you know. 💛
