🚨EMERGENCY UPDATE: Stranded in Grayson, KY since 7/28🚨
Hello friends, family, and clients,
We are reaching out from a hotel room in Grayson, KY, where we have been completely stranded since July 28. We’ve had a sudden and overwhelming financial emergency. While traveling, our vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure and we are facing a massive crisis that is entirely beyond our financial means.
We spent the few days gathering quotes, and we are looking at a minimum of $7,360 just to get back on the road.
Because of the severity of the damage, and the repair shop being overwhelmed with previous work, our mechanic has not even been able to begin work until yesterday afternoon (Tue 8/4). Once they finally get deep into the engine block, we face the terrifying reality of possible unexpected additional repairs and expenses.
Even if everything goes perfectly, the repairs will take a minimum of 3 days. The absolute earliest we might be able to have the car back is Friday, August 8—but there are zero guarantees.
Because we are stuck, our costs are compounding daily. We are trying to cover our hotel and food on our own right now, but to get through this, we are launching this fundraiser with a goal of $7,360.
This specific goal includes our total estimated expenses plus the required GoFundMe platform fees, so we can cover:
Critical Engine Repairs: A massive repair bill to completely fix the engine so the vehicle is safe to drive ($7100 approx estimate).
As an independent business owner and family, our vehicle is our absolute lifeline. It is not just how we get around; it is the backbone of our daily livelihood. This unexpected breakdown has completely halted our operations and left us in an incredibly vulnerable position.
We pride ourselves on working hard and serving our clients, but right now, we have to humbly ask for your help.
