Im stuck at home with cyclosporiasis, so I've got time today.

I came across 2 posts asking for detailer recommendations so far this morning.

Both seem to be posted by a bot, and every comment is a scammer. EVERY SINGLE ONE!

How do I know? I googled the addresses!

One was listed in an industrial park that was currently for lease. How can someone work out of a vacant shop?

Then we have this gem pictured! Their address doesn't even exist!!!!

At this point, it's your fault if you get scammed! I have no sympathy for you!

This beautiful XC70 received a light polish to remove some pesky water spots.

Then we restored all of the plastic trim before sealing it all up with our favorite product, hybridize 180 from Angelwax.

Now it's looking great for months to come!

Its not always about coatings. We just want your car to look is best!

Let's talk about coating maintenance!

First off, YES! Coatings do require regular maintenance!

Washing it every month or so is the minimum standard. If you don't, the coating likely won't last the full period.

And sometimes it needs a little more effort to bring it back to life.

No, just because your paint isn't beading doesn't mean it's gone!

This truck was coated almost 3 years ago. They wash it pretty regular, but the coating stopped performing like they expected.

We got there and noted the same. So after a thorough decon with acidic products, we removed a hard water film from the paint and the beading came right back.

No toppers or reapplication needed. The coating was just fine under that scum film. But had that coating not been there, it would have taken much more effort with abrasives to rectify the situation.

We coated the paint a few years ago and the owner takes great care of it. So we didn't do much there this time. But we gave it a nice bath and shined up all the chrome.

I'd say she came out pretty damn good!

We did a "patina polish" just to see if there was any shine left in this old, failing paint job. Turns out they're was quite a bit.

No major paint correction. No lights. No attention to defects. Just me seeing what I can do with my polisher.

I made a journey up to Michigan to slay some gelcoat!

When one of the best in the industry asks you for help, you get up there and start working!

It's been an amazing 3 weeks but my time up north is coming to an end! It's been a real pleasure working with the team at Mikes Marine Care. There is some real talent in this shop.
