🦌 John Finally Got His Camp Duty! 🦌

Bow season's a week old, the first cool mornings showed up right behind it, and every camp road from Citronelle to Grand Bay had a truck on it before daylight Saturday.

John finally got his camp duty.

Hosed off, sanitized, parked beside a box stand off a clay road in north Mobile County since Wednesday. He'll see more deer this weekend than most of y'all.

Camps are quiet work. One unit where the trucks park, serviced on a schedule you set once and forget, and nobody drives back to town for anything.

🌬️ Fifty Degrees Before Breakfast! 🌬️

Friday night the first real front of the fall blew through, and Saturday morning Mobile woke up at fifty degrees with the wind gusting near thirty. By Wednesday we're back near eighty, but the nights stay cool and there's no rain in sight.

We checked every strap on Saturday.

Dry week, cool mornings, clear sky. The concrete crews are happy and the roofers are happier.

The Jags play in Huntington tonight at six thirty, which is an odd sentence for a Tuesday. If a dry week has your site or your event moving faster than planned, give us a call and let's get you covered.

🧀 Grilled Cheese, Fine Art, and a Lawn Party! 🧀

Thursday night it was the Grilled Cheese Meltdown at Cathedral Square, fifteen teams and a whole lot of butter, all for Urban Emporium. This weekend, we've been busy with the in Olde Towne Daphne, a hundred and forty artists under the oaks on Main Street. Today, ten to four, the Little Sisters of the Poor are hosting their fifty-fifth Lawn Party on McGill Avenue.

Our units have had a spot at all three.

Set the day before, serviced before the gates open, gone before the neighbors notice.

🌀 We Got The Easy Side Of Isaias 🌀

came ashore near Destin Friday night, and that put us on the easy side of her. Some gusts, a wet yard, a few neighbors still waiting on the power company. Nothing we won’t take.

Sixty miles east, Pensacola is picking up roofs this morning.

Our hearts are with everybody from Pensacola on across the Panhandle, and with the folks up the state who caught the worst of her leftovers overnight. Some families lost somebody to falling trees. That’s the part of storm season no checklist covers.

🌀 Here Comes Isaias! 🌀

came together in the Gulf this morning. Mobile and Baldwin counties are under a hurricane watch, with a surge watch on the bay, and the wind and rain start midday Friday.

We said October gets the last word. She heard us.

Our trucks are running early till then: units pumped, strapped down where they stand, sink stations tucked against something solid. Through the wind and rain we'll keep things moving as fast as it's safe to, and the phone gets answered the whole time.

🌀 October Gets The Last Word! 🌀

It's been a quiet hurricane season down here. The Atlantic made it to the end of September without a single hurricane, something the weather folks say hasn't happened since 1914. The Gulf's been polite all summer.

October is when she stops being polite.

Ask anybody who remembers Zeta rolling through in the last week of October 2020.

So the storm plan stays right where it's been since June: units tied down where they stand, trucks fueled, phones answered. A quiet year doesn't change the checklist.

📆 Three Days Left In September! 📆

September did a lot of work down here. Labor Day weekend, a car show at the battleship, a coastal cleanup, a first day of fall that felt exactly like August.

October's next, and October on the Gulf Coast is three seasons stacked in one month.

Festival season, with the Annual National Shrimp Festival leading it off. Camp season, with bow hunters already counting days. And the last word from hurricane season, which we'll get to Wednesday.

We've got a unit for every one of them. Set right, serviced on schedule, gone when it's done.

🍂 Happy First Day Of Fall! 🍂

The calendar says fall started today. The thermometer down here didn't get the memo. It never does.

We'll take it anyway.

Cooler mornings are on the way, the fall calendar is loading up, and one of our units couldn't wait. Somebody had to test the leaf pile.

🎡 Fair Season Is Coming! 🎡

The little guy on our stickers got his portrait painted for the occasion. Who doesn't love a good ?

October's already calling: fairs, festivals, fall ball, hayrides, and the job sites that don't slow down for any of it. The calendar fills up from here to Thanksgiving, and the good weekends always go first.

Same drill as ever. Dropped clean, serviced weekly, hauled off like we were never there.
