"Why do some old-school pest pros say termite bait stations don’t work?"
Because 20–30 years ago… a lot of them didn’t.
Early bait systems were slow and inconsistent, so many applicators were trained to trust only liquid treatments like trenching and drilling. That mindset stuck.
The reality today 👇
Modern systems like Sentricon work differently:
Liquids = fast protection at the structure
Baits = slow, proven colony elimination
It’s not either/or anymore.
The best termite control is usually a combination of both, based on the home, soil, and activity level.
Old tools worked for their time.
New tools work even better when used correctly.
📍 That’s why we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach.
