🐾 Why are we shining a blacklight on a urine stain after applying treatment?
It may look like the blacklight is removing the stain—but here’s what’s actually happening.
First, we apply a professional peroxide treatment directly to the urine contamination. The peroxide begins breaking down the organic compounds responsible for the yellow discoloration.
Next, we use a UV blacklight over the treated area. The ultraviolet light helps accelerate the peroxide’s oxidation reaction, allowing it to work faster and more effectively on stubborn urine discoloration. As the oxidation continues, the yellow urine staining gradually fades away.
This combination allows us to target difficult pet urine stains while using a controlled process on delicate wool fibers.
