Signs to look for:
Grubs: Yellow areas will pull up easily like a blanket. Moisture depth will be deep 8+ inches. Spreads regardless of watering. Small moths, beetles or even larvae present.
Drought: Appearance improves after sprinkler adjustment or increased watering after a week. Moisture depth less than 3 inches. Lawn roots do not pull up easily.
