That’s a Wrap on the Smoky Hill River Festival!
Four days. Tens of thousands of visitors. And a whole lot of hustle behind-the-scenes to help keep things clean, comfortable and running smoothly. For LilyPad Septic and Portable Restroom Services, here’s a few of the details from this past weekend:
🧻 Over 32 miles of toilet paper
➡️ That’s enough to circle Oakdale Park 36 times over!
🖐️ More than 40,000 sheets of paper towels
➡️ Laid flat, that’s over 25,000 square feet, or enough paper towels to cover over 1/2 of an acre!
💧 5,000 gallons of freshwater
➡️ Used to refill, wash, and sanitize every handwashing station and portable restroom across the park, ensuring every unit stayed fresh from open to close.
🧼 15 gallons of hand soap
➡️ Enough to clean off tens of thousands of sticky fingers after funnel cakes, cotton candy and BBQ, and help keep everyone healthy and safe!
🚛 Over 18,000 gallons of wastewater pumped
➡️ All safely removed so the only thing left was good music and great memories!
⏱️ More than 180 labor hours logged
➡️ Our team showed up early, stayed late, and made sure every unit, sink, and station was clean, stocked, and ready all weekend long.
Thanks to the City of Salina, Salina Arts and Humanities, the amazing event staff, and everyone who came out to enjoy the arts, food, and music. We’re proud to support this hometown tradition, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next June! 💚🐸
