See the upcoming overnight temperatures? Last chance to remove your garden hoses from your outside faucets!!! The sustained low temps WILL freeze your faucets with a hose still attached and then comes the “fun” of possible flooding now (depending on the type of faucet) or flooding in the spring when you go to use it again. Faucet covers are also encouraged and can be bought from any home improvement store.

Did you guys remove your garden hoses yet?!?! Overnight freezing temps for the next few evenings. You don’t want the water sitting in a hose freezing up and then causing your outside faucet to split inside the wall.

Wow, WE WON!!!! What a night with the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce awards banquet! Suburban Family Plumbing, of Roselle, was nominated for the category of best Small Trade Services award and I’m deeply humbled and grateful that the people of Bloomingdale thought fit to vote for us!! 🥰

As the saying goes “even a blind squirrel finds a nut once I awhile.” In this case that blind squirrel decided to drop the nut down a kitchen vent stack from the roof and it found its way down into the drain system a blocked the kitchen and laundry drains at the drain stack connection. After some attempted rodding, and not knowing what was blocking the drain at the time, I decided to cut open the pipe and to my surprise I found and removed said nut!!! 🌰
