WOULD YOU POUR MONEY DOWN YOUR DRAIN?
Of course you wouldn’t! That’s what you’re doing if you continue to pour grease down your drain. Pouring grease down your drain can clog your pipes and cost a lot to get it fixed. So please don’t pour grease down your drains!

WE’VE ALL BEEN TOLD TO CONSERVE WATER, HERE’S A REASON WHY!
You should conserve water whenever possible. Large volumes over short periods will flush untreated wastes into your drain field. Space out heavy uses of water such as laundry and bathing.

DON’T KNOW IF IT’S SAFE TO FLUSH?
A good rule of thumb, if it is not biodegradable it doesn't belong in the septic!
No cigarette butts, tissues, sanitary napkins, disposable diapers, coffee grounds, cotton swabs or wipes. Even if it says “flushable” it may not be!

STOP! DON’T DUMP THAT GREASE DOWN YOUR DRAIN!
Grease can harden in the tank's scum layer and then build up and block the inlet or outlet of the tank. If you melt grease and pour it down the drain it may run through the septic tank, hardening and clogging the soil pores.

NO WIPES IN THE PIPES!
JUST BECAUSE IT SAYS “FLUSHABLE” DOESN’T MEAN THAT IT IS!
Pro tip from A-1 Septic Service: “Flushable” wipes and feminine products are NOT safe to flush if you have a septic system! They can clog up the pipes and cost you a lot to clean them out! Do your septic system a favor and don’t flush anything except toilet paper.
