April was certainly interesting to say the least. We hope everyone dealt with the turbulent weather in true Michigan fashion. May's weather looks a bit more settled from here on out, we'll take that as a win.

Ticks seem to be on everyone's mind, including mine. Since ticks like the longer grass, now is a good time to get the grass trimmed up. Most of you have probably already mowed several times so you are ahead of the game!

We will be finishing up the rest of the Spring services as well as starting the rest of our seasonal customers that opted to wait until May. This month will really tell us where we stand with our routes and whether we have any availability for the rest of the season. We appreciate your patience as we traverse this last section of uncharted road. As soon as we know, we'll let you know.

Folks, this spring has brought a new challenge, widespread flooding. The number of road closures is adding an unprecedented twist. Our goal is to stay as close to our schedule as possible while keeping our techs safe. New road closures, washouts and detours are happening rapidly, but hopefully we will start to see this flooding event subside soon. Please stay safe and thank you for your patience as we all navigate this together.

Be on the lookout for your 2026 prepay offer! Some of you have already received them via email or text (it takes a hot minute to do them via email so please be patient), the mailed copies will be deposited at the post office today. Even if you don't want to take advantage of the prepay discount, please take a moment and let us know which months you'd like service, you can shoot us a text, email or call the office, whichever is easiest for you. We want to make sure we have everyone who wants service this season, on for the appropriate time frame. Thanks in advance! And for those that have already responded, you are awesome!

As many of you know, we are a small family-owned and operated business. Many of you might even remember that we said goodbye to one of our techs late last year as she left to pursue a different career opportunity. You might even remember that for the last few years our routes were full by the time seasonal services started up.

As we explored our options on how we were going to deal with these changes, it became clear that we only had one option at this time. That option was to consolidate as much as humanly possible and then cut service to some of the outlying areas that we have been servicing.

This change means that we are going into our 22nd year with routes that are already full. The pest control business is a fluid one, and what that means for future customers is this. If you want us to provide your pest control services, we can add your information to a waiting list. As spots open up on our routes, we will call those people who have taken that first step.

We will be taking this season one month at a time as our techs adjust to the new schedules. Our first and foremost objective is to provide our customers with the quality service that they are accustomed to receiving. We'd like to thank you in advance for having patience as we work out any kinks that may arise during the 2026 spray season.

Happy 2026! We have some changes happening this year, some are related to the area we service, while others are behind the scenes that we hope will make things easier on both our customers and our support staff. We'll provide you with further updates as the month progresses.

If you were one of the people who contacted us last year concerning service in the Evart area for the 2026 season, could you please reach out to us as soon as possible. We have had some changes that are affecting availabilty in that area.
