A couple of weeks ago, we went out to a home to clean their dryer vent—and while we were there, we discovered something important: the dryer vent had become disconnected in the attic.

This is actually something we see fairly often, especially after a roof replacement. During the roofing process, the dryer vent can get disconnected, and unfortunately, it doesn't always get reconnected afterward.

~ If your dryer vents through the roof, it's a good idea to make sure the vent is still properly connected, especially if you've recently had your roof replaced.

And if your vent is connected but you're noticing that your clothes are taking forever to dry or you're having to run the dryer more than once to get a load completely dry, it may be time for a dryer and dryer vent cleaning.
