WE CAN DO BETTER! We let puppies stay with their mothers longer than newborns and then we wonder why no one wants to have a baby? Have you ever had a throbbing va**na at work with cracked ni***es and 2 hours of sleep that weren’t even connected? I have. It ain’t pretty.

Once that baby is out we throw the whole mother away and then call us “unbabied”. Boy bye.

1 in 5 women suffer from postpartum depression or anxiety. While you’re judging her she’s already beating herself up. How about saying “you’re doing great, I’m so proud of you and your baby is lucky to have you”.

Taking a minute to decide your choices really is helpful when it comes to feeling supported and like you’re not being pressured into something. For me I always think if I had taken 5 minutes to consider my choice may have been different. For my clients I teach them this phrase, it gives you time without everyone staring at you and you can make an informed choice on your own.

When I had my first baby I didn’t understand postpartum depression or baby blues and then I had my second. I was so deep in postpartum depression I felt nothing, I was going through daily motions but I wasn’t even in my body.

Not sleeping, a reflux baby, a toddler, financial struggles looming due to not getting paid while I was out on leave…it all added up. I suffered alone, you don’t have to. Speak up, I will listen 💜
