🏡 A friendly reminder when hiring a cleaning service!

Whether you choose an independent cleaner or an established cleaning company, always do your homework before allowing someone into your home! ❤️

✅ Verify that they carry active liability insurance.

✅ Check that their business is properly registered, if registration is required. You can search Florida's Sunbiz website.

✅ Ask whether they have the appropriate local business tax receipt.

✅ Look for established reviews and references.

✅ Ask whether they have procedures in place if something is accidentally damaged or a scheduled cleaning is missed.

Remember, the cheapest option isn't always the best option! You're trusting someone with access to your home, personal belongings, and valuables. Peace of mind, reliability, and accountability matter just as much as a clean home.

A little research beforehand can save you a lot of headaches later! 🏡✨

With all of the Airbnbs we have done over the past 5 years and continue to do. I can count on one hand, the guests that have stripped their bedding.

Airbnb has notified hosts that they can't fine guests for skipping chores or withhold an amenity advertised in the listing.

The new checkout policy will apply to reservations booked on or after November 20, 2026, barring hosts from generally asking guests to do time-consuming chores or work a cleaner would normally handle. That includes stripping beds, carrying trash offsite, and washing and putting away dishes.

Cleaning fees are meant to pay for routine work between stays, including laundry and vacuuming. Hosts can still charge for actual damage, and guests remain responsible for messes that require deep cleaning.

Hosts can still request small tasks: leaving used dishes in the sink, collecting used towels, separating trash into indoor bins, switching things off and locking up. Guests are encouraged to help, but those requests aren't mandatory.

All house rules and requests must appear in the listing before a guest books. Listings that violate the policy can be flagged, and hosts can receive warnings or lose visibility in search results.

The change follows years of complaints about paying a cleaning fee and still getting a checkout chore list. In 2022, a teacher who rented a Lake Tahoe house for her family of 6 spent the final vacation day cleaning and trying to keep her children from making more messes. “This kind of changes the whole vibe,” she said.

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky addressed the issue in November 2022: “You shouldn't have to do cleaning when you get out the door.”

A Message to Our Customers

Recently, our business received a negative review that has impacted our ratings. As part of our due diligence, we thoroughly reviewed our scheduling system, invoices, client database, and communications records. We were unable to find any record that we have ever provided services to the individual who posted the review.

Additionally, another individual joined the conversation to post negative comments. After reviewing our records, we were unable to locate any record of services provided to that individual either.

At APEX Cleaning, we take customer concerns seriously and work hard to resolve any issues quickly and professionally. If a customer is unhappy with a service, we welcome the opportunity to address the concern, revisit the property if necessary, and work toward a resolution.

We would also like to clarify that our company does not send photos while a property is actively being cleaned. Any photos provided to clients are taken after a service has been completed. This has always been our standard procedure.

As a family-owned business, our reputation is built on honesty, transparency, and the relationships we have developed with our clients over the years. We remain committed to providing exceptional service and open communication with every customer we serve.

We appreciate the continued support of our loyal clients and community. If you have any questions about our services or our company, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
