Picked up this much loved sweater for repairs. Client wanted the holes fixed, didn't care about the color matching. Jobs like this are fun, almost like a treasure hunt. I love seeing the patterns, figuring out why the crafter made the choices they did.

I went with duplicate stitches to make the repairs, using an old light fi*****ng yarn in navy blue. It took about 15 hours to do all the repairs and it's now back home.

Currently what's on my wheel, delightful drafting experience so far. I suspect a very fine wool, it's drafting similar to my green/pink roving. Imagination is running wild with this one, from crochet flowers to delicate maple leafed shawls. If you have a pattern suggestion for this beautiful roving, please share them along, I'd love to see them!

Blocking is completed and I must say that I love how it turned out. There are about 190 yards left of the yarn, I might make the cowl version with buttons. I have some made from mother-of-pearl in the bin that would work beautifully.

My scarf is finished and is now pinned out to block. Wisp was a simple to remember pattern, open and reversible. I love that the crocheted bits were spaced out during the plying that they didn't stack like a machine spun yarn might have.

Yarn (1.9 oz, 537 yds, 190yds remaining) was dyed, spun, and knitted by me. Pattern is Wisp by found through Ravelry, available on Knitty.

The lighting was too good to pass up an in-progress photo of my current project. This pattern is The Wisp by Cheryl Niamath, found via but the pattern is available on

I dropped down from the suggested 5mm needles to 4mm. I was wanting a scarf in width, with a less open mesh as it does get breezy on the island. So far, it feels light and airy, but retains a good amount of warmth during my test wearing.

My experiment spin is finally finished at 536 yards! The 2 oz of was dyed in 2017, started on a drop spindle in 2020, and finished on my wheel this year. A pattern has already been picked out and will be started tonight. Photos will come soon!

Tonight I heard the clink of my plying rock making its first appearance. That clink is my notification that this part of is almost over and the next part is fast approaching.

I'll be able to wash this very energetic and see if what I imagined is the same as reality. If it's not, that's okay, it'll be exciting to see the results. I'd like to this, but maybe will be the future method of usage?

It's not as much progress as I had hoped for Tour de Fleece, but I'm back to spinning. I've some stuff that needs to be done over the weekend but I'm going to squeeze a few minutes here and there.

The last four skeins from the brown alpaca fleece, measured and delivered. About 651 yards of 4-ply yarn, though I don't know what the final total ended up being. Somewhere between 1500-3000 yards?

This section of pink is taking forever, but I'm catching sight of green peeking through in the plying ball. I believe Saturday might see the transition back to green. Fortunately, the next pink section isn't nearly as long, and this is almost at the halfway mark.
