🪳 BED BUG EDUCATION: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Bed bugs can become a serious problem quickly—and they are not necessarily a sign of poor sanitation. They can be introduced into apartments, hotels, offices, healthcare facilities, and other properties through luggage, clothing, furniture, visitors, and normal everyday travel.
The photo shows adult bed bugs along with bed bug eggs. Eggs are extremely small, making early infestations difficult to identify without a thorough inspection.
Important facts for property managers and residents:
* Bed bugs can hide in mattresses, bed frames, furniture, baseboards, cracks, clothing, toys, and personal belongings.
* Finding and treating the problem early can help prevent it from spreading to neighboring rooms or apartments.
* Simply spraying the visible insects may not eliminate an infestation—eggs and hidden activity must also be addressed.
* In multifamily properties, surrounding units may need to be inspected when activity is confirmed.
* Professional inspections, including properly trained K-9 bed bug detection teams, can help identify areas of activity that may otherwise be difficult to locate.
At Rite-A-Way Pest Control, our goal isn’t just to treat pest problems—it’s to help educate our clients so they understand what caused the problem, where the activity is coming from, and what steps should be taken next.
