If you’re a chocolate lover (and who isn’t?), clothes can quickly get messy. Luckily, stain removal is easier than you might think, especially when treated immediately. Just follow these short steps to destroy the evidence:

🍴 Start by gently scraping off any excess chocolate with a butter knife or spoon.

💧 Apply cold water to the stain and be sure to thoroughly rinse both sides of the garment.

🧼 Depending on what you have on hand, you can apply either a regular laundry detergent, dish detergent, or water/white vinegar solution directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. With stubborn stains, try adding some baking soda.

⏱️ Submerge the garment in a sink or bowl of cold water until fully absorbed and then gently rub away at the stain. Let it sit for up to 30 minutes. Repeat as needed.

🌀 Use fresh cold water to rinse the garment one last time and then allow it to air dry.
