A little behind-the-scenes update… while our team has been busy making homes sparkle back in Michigan, we've been soaking up some knowledge in sunny Daytona, Florida! ☀️🌴

We spent three days learning, connecting, and finding new ways to make Cleaning Solutions even BETTER!!

From diving into business finances and production rates to exploring ways we can continue improving the experience we provide our clients, we came home with plenty of new ideas and inspiration!! 🧽✨

We're always looking for ways to grow, improve, and make life a little easier for the people who trust us with their homes. 🩵 AND speaking of making life easier… We may or may not have been working on something a little different while we were there. 🤭

Let's just say 2027 might be looking a little more 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙... 👀🗂️✨

WRONG. 🚩😂

We get it. That countertop is looking a little questionable, so naturally, you reach for the cleaning spray and give it a few extra squirts.

But here's something you might not realize…

Using more cleaning product than recommended can actually make your cleaning routine LESS effective!

Depending on the product and surface, using too much cleaner can leave behind a sticky film, streaks, or residue that attracts dirt and makes surfaces look dirty again faster.

So what's the secret? 👇

Read the label! Different products have different instructions for how much to use.

Dilute when directed. Some concentrated cleaners need to be mixed with water in specific amounts.

Use the right product for the surface. Not every cleaner belongs on every countertop, floor, or fixture.

Don't assume more is better. A little product used correctly can go a long way!

PLEASE tell us you're not using the same cleaning cloth for your bathroom AND your kitchen. 🫣🧽

Because if you are… we need to talk. 😂

Here's something you might not realize: just because you're wiping a surface doesn't necessarily mean you're making it cleaner!

Using the same dirty cloth throughout your home can actually transfer dirt, bacteria, and other germs from one surface to another. It's called cross-contamination, and it's something you definitely want to avoid!

Here's how to prevent it. 👇

🧽 1. Use separate cloths for different areas.
Keep bathroom cloths separate from the ones you use in your kitchen and living spaces.

🎨 2. Try color-coding your cloths.
Assign different colors to different areas so you always know which cloth belongs where. If possible, store the colored cloths in their assigned area (for example, bathroom cloths in a bathroom vanity or kitchen cloths under the sink).

✨ 3. Switch to a fresh cloth when needed.
If your cloth is visibly dirty or you've been cleaning a heavily soiled surface, grab a clean one!

🚫 4. Don't go from the toilet to the sink.
Even within the same bathroom, use separate cloths for toilet surfaces and other fixtures.

🫧 5. Wash reusable cloths properly.
Follow their care instructions, wash them after each use, and let them dry completely before storing.

Think you're vacuuming the right way? You might want to think again... 👀

Vacuuming seems simple enough… turn it on, push it around, and call it a day. Right?
..well... not exactly. 😂

A few common habits could be keeping your floors from getting as clean as you think! Here's what you might be doing wrong...

❌ 1. Moving too fast.
Speeding through your floors doesn't give your vacuum enough time to effectively pick up dirt, dust, and debris. Slow, steady passes are your friend!

❌ 2. Skipping edges and corners.
Dust, crumbs, and pet hair LOVE collecting along baseboards and in corners! Use your vacuum's attachments to get those hard-to-reach areas.

❌ 3. Not overlapping your passes.
Vacuuming in straight lines is great, but slightly overlapping each pass helps ensure you're not leaving strips of dirt behind.

❌ 4. Forgetting to clean your vacuum.
A full dustbin, clogged filter, or tangled brush roll can seriously affect suction and cleaning performance! Regular maintenance makes a difference.

❌ 5. Using the wrong vacuum setting.
Different flooring types require different settings. Using the wrong height or brush-roll setting can reduce cleaning effectiveness, and even damage certain floors.

❌ 6. Only vacuuming when your floors LOOK dirty.
Dust, dirt, pet dander, and other particles can build up long before they're visible. Consistent vacuuming helps keep that buildup under control!

❌ 7. Forgetting UNDER your furniture.
Just because you can't see the dust bunnies doesn't mean they aren't there! 🐰😂 Don't forget to get underneath beds, couches, and other furniture when possible.
