October 1st 💙💛🩷
As we welcome a new month, we also welcome awareness for two causes that hold a very special place in our hearts: Spina Bifida Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As the owners of Aquarius Pool Services, we want to share these causes with our Aquarius family because they are very real and very personal to our own family. We’re grateful to have a platform where we can use our voice to bring awareness to the things that matter to us.
If you’re not familiar with Spina Bifida, it is a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t develop properly. Its effects can vary from person to person and may impact mobility, strength, sensation, and bladder or bowel function. For our family, Spina Bifida isn’t just something we read about. It’s something we live with, love through, and advocate for.
Breast cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells in the breast grow uncontrollably and can potentially spread to other parts of the body. Most of us know someone who has been affected by it, whether personally or through someone we love. And for our family, that connection is personal too.
As a family who has loved someone through both, awareness matters. Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to compassion, support, advocacy, and hope.
So this October, we’re proudly standing for both causes. 💙💛🩷
