On this day, 159 years ago, enslaved African Americans in Galveston first learned of their emancipation. Freedom finally came. It had been declared, but now it was real.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth. We honor the ancestors who fought for, prayed for, bled for our freedom. We celebrate the resilience of a people who refused to be broken. We honor the journey from bo***ge to liberation — a journey that belongs to history, but also to us today.

True freedom isn’t just the absence of chains. It’s the presence of purpose. It’s the ability to build, to dream, to live as God intended.

As we celebrate today, let’s also remember: the work continues. Freedom is a daily choice. For ourselves, for our families, for our communities.

To everyone celebrating today — your ancestors fought for this moment. Honor it. Live it. Pass it forward. 🖤
