Mom life is basically picking up the SAME things 47 times a day. The laundry never ends, the dishes magically reappear, the toys somehow travel to every room in the house, and just when you think you’re caught up… someone needs a snack.
But here’s your reminder...your house doesn’t have to be perfect to be a happy home and you don’t have to spend your entire day cleaning to feel a little more put together!
A few things that help me keep my sanity as a mom of 3
✨ The 10-minute reset: Set a timer and have everyone pick up what they can. You’d be surprised what 10 minutes can do!
🧺 One load a day: Wash, dry, fold, and put away one load instead of letting laundry become a mountain.
🧽 Clean as you go: Wipe down the counters while dinner cooks or put things away while waiting for the kids to finish getting ready.
🧸 Everything needs a home: Baskets are your best friend! Toys, blankets, shoes, and all those random things that seem to end up everywhere.
🏡 Prioritize the main areas: If you only have a few minutes, focus on the kitchen, living room, and anything that makes your home feel less chaotic.
❤️ Give yourself some grace: Some days the house will be clean, and other days survival is the accomplishment. Both are okay!
One thing I remind myself often... my kids are only little once, and I don't want to spend every minute picking up after them instead of enjoying them. I love a clean house, but I’m learning that a lived-in home is part of raising a family.
