Stink bugs are out and about — those shield‑shaped Doritos that sneak into your house when summer comes to a close like they “just need a place to crash.”

They don’t bite or breed indoors. They just smell like cilantro‑flavored regret when annoyed.

They slip through tiny gaps around windows, siding, and screens — if a credit card fits, so does a stink bug.

They show up in groups because one finds your house and invites the squad.

Best time to treat: late summer to early fall, before they move in.
Inside? Vacuum → dump outside → seal gaps and cracks.

Bug Hunt: Reducing the number of stink bugs and fart blames.

Cat fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) get their name because their species designation, felis, means “cat” in Latin. They were first described on cats and remain the dominant flea species found on them today.

In New England, cat fleas are the primary flea affecting both cats and dogs, and they remain active year‑round thanks to indoor heating and high pet density. Studies in northeastern urban areas have also identified cat fleas carrying emerging pathogens, underscoring the importance of consistent prevention and monitoring.

Bottom line: Cat fleas are well‑established across New England, highly adaptable, and overwhelmingly the species found on household pets. Routine prevention and timely treatment are the most effective ways to keep them under control.

🍎 “Rotten attracts rotten.” 🍎
Fruit flies don’t show up for fresh fruit — they swarm when sweetness turns sour.
Same goes for people (and kids): when we let our good nature spoil, we draw in the pests of life — stress, drama, bad habits.

So keep your fruit fresh, your humor sweet, and your attitude science-approved.
Because even fruit flies know: rot is a choice.

Happy Birthday to my brother and best friend — the man who’s carried me through everything and more. You make fatherhood look effortless, marriage look natural, friendship look instinctive, and professionalism look like muscle memory. You’re my idol not because you try to be, but because your heart is steady, your character is unshakable, and your soul stays true even in the darkest seasons. Grateful for you today and always.

Everyone, get outside this weekend! Find your own beauty!
