I’d like to give a shout out to some local businesses that made a very enjoyable evening for some customers and friends of ours.
Off the Hook bbq, is my new favorite go to bbq place. The brisket very tender, service was great, everything we tried was delicious. Afterwards, we we stopped at another gem, also locally owned, NyX Spirit lounge on Locust St in Gladstone. Lovely lounge, downstairs lounge has a speak easy vibe to it, main lounge can be used for parties and events, and the deck is where we enjoyed a drink. Music in the Park could be heard from nearby Linden Square, and the breeze on the deck felt great. NyX also owns Fence Stile vineyard and winery in Excelsior Springs.

We have a new series starting soon called, “What not to do to your hardwood floors!” Polishing hardwood floors , will trap the dirt and require sanding your hardwood floors and refinishing them. No oil based cleaner , polish should ever be applied to your hardwood or LVT tile. You should only use a PH neutral floor cleaner or warm water. In some cases using the wrong chemicals not only ruin the floors, but void your manufacturers warranty. That goes for steam cleaning too!

Our customer, Michelle Owen’s, owns Whispering Pines Farm. Lilly has been servicing it for us and has recently brought me some homemade ice cream to try. It is so good! I highly recommend checking them out, everything is all natural, homemade from candles , soaps, to milk and eggs and ice cream!
