I went in for my routine mammogram on Tuesday morning. By noon I had received my results. The results came back as “Abnormal” … with calcifications found, located in my left lymph nodes. An ultra sound was recommended as the next step.
As a breast cancer survivor, this was not something I wanted to hear, or even remotely fathom, to be quite honest.
I got in touch with my Oncologist, who ordered the ultrasound. I called KU and got in for today, at 3:30.
I’ve been a little emotional and stressed for the last 48 hours, simply contemplating all the what ifs.
After the ultrasound was finished, the technician told me to wait in the room and she would be back, after they had reviewed my ultrasound.
When she came back in with the Dr, they both assured me there is absolutely nothing wrong, and nothing to worry about.
My left arm has a tattoo sleeve covering my entire arm. Tiny bits of ink from the sleeve ended up in my lymph nodes and that’s what the calcifications are from. WHAT??!!! WHEW!!!!!!! Omg.
You guys!!! What a relief!!!
No cancer.
No new diagnosis.
No freaking the F out.
So thankful my husband was there. When I came out I had the biggest smile. He hugged me so tightly!
It’s been a scary couple of days- but here we are.
Let’s roll into Friday with nothing but good vibes, baby.
Much Love!! 💗
