Squeezed in one more install before Thanksgiving. This new system was built for a three bedroom home. The soils didn’t perc very well. A CM 1060 tank was installed with 76 Quick4 chambers. These customers should have a long lasting system! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

South Platte Septic is mound certified in Nebraska! The water table at this location was only at 18 inches. 700 tons of sand were delivered to build the leaching surface. The effluent gravity feeds from the house to the tanks and then it is pressured distributed throughout the leach field. An IM 1060 septic tank, IM 540 pump chamber, and 120 sq/ft of EZ Flow were installed

The customer reached out to have his failing septic system replaced in order to sell his house. An IM 1530 two compartment tank was installed to accommodate the 4 bedroom house. 95 Quick4 chambers were installed for the poor draining soil.

The upfront cost of a septic system isn’t cheap, but having to pay for a system twice isn’t either.

The expected lifespan of a septic system is 35-50 years. A lot of factors play a role in the lifespan but one the most important is proper installation. This leach field had to be replaced after only 6 years due to a pipe not being installed level. All the effluent went to one leach line and it was completely saturated. When that happened the effluent worked its way to the next leach line and saturated it as well.

The original system didn’t have a two compartment tank either. Little solids work their way into the leach field if there isn’t a wall of separation in the tank and plug the infiltrative surface in the leach field.

A 540 gallon tank was installed with a filter to help keep solids out of the leach field. The new leach field was installed with 64 Quick4 infiltrators in four rows. The distribution box has speed levelers in each pipe to ensure even effluent distribution.
