We're back on the porch! 🎶🏡

We're excited to announce that Lindsey Pest Services is returning as a Porch Sponsor for Jacksonville PorchFest on Saturday, November 7!

If you've never experienced PorchFest, picture this: the beautiful historic homes of Springfield, live musicians performing on front porches throughout the neighborhood, local artists, delicious food, and thousands of people coming together to celebrate Jax.

Pretty awesome, right?! But what makes this event even more special is (no, not the free admission, but that's a close second..!) the WHY behind it.

PorchFest is hosted by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and improving one of Jacksonville's most historic neighborhoods.

The festival is FREE for the community, but the musicians are paid for their performances, and proceeds help fund public art, neighborhood improvements, and initiatives that support local businesses.

At Lindsey, we've always believed that being part of a community means doing more than just business in it. It means showing up, getting involved, and supporting the people and organizations working to make it better.

That's why we're proud to be a Porch Sponsor again this year!

Answer from yesterday's challenge: It's the Carpenter Ant!
Did you nail it, or did this little guy stump you? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Nerding out a bit: Carpenter ants are large, wood-destroying insects. While they're super beneficial in nature for breaking down dead trees, they can cause costly structural damage when they move into residential homes to build their nests.
Unlike termites, carpenter ants do not eat wood. Instead, they use those powerful jaws to bulldoze and excavate random, smooth tunnels inside timber strictly for nesting!

Seeing any big ants, especially at night? It's worth noting. And as always, give us a call for a free inspection if you're unsure!

We had an absolute BLAST at the Halloween Ninja Party hosted by Ben LaMasters and our friends at UndergrounD Fitness & Self Defense! 🎃🥷

Our very own Scott stopped by Friday evening to join in the fun, and judging by these pictures, these little ninjas were taking their missions VERY seriously! 😂

Between the costumes, activities, and some impressive levels of concentration, it was so much fun seeing the kids get into the Halloween spirit.

One of our favorite things about being part of the Jacksonville business community is getting to support our friends and the awesome things they're doing. We love seeing local businesses create opportunities for families to come together, have fun, and make memories.

A big thank-you to Ben and the team for putting together such a fun event! We're glad Scott could be part of it!

Every so often, a project comes along that reminds us why we do what we do.

Recently, our team had the opportunity to help a local family facing some incredibly difficult circumstances. We donated our time, materials, and services to help make their home a safer, healthier place to live.

This project has involved much more than treating a rodent problem. After identifying numerous entry points and nesting areas, our team has removed dozens of rats, completed exclusion repairs, including replacing damaged soffit vents, and continues to work toward fully resolving the issue.

This hasn't been a quick fix. It's an ongoing project that has taken time, persistence, and a whole lot of care.

A special "thank you" goes to Steve, Loren, and Wilson for the compassion, dedication, and craftsmanship they've brought to this project. Their willingness to go the extra mile has made a meaningful difference for this family.

At Lindsey Pest, protecting homes has always been about more than pests. It's about helping people. We're grateful we were in a position to help, and we look forward to seeing this project through to the very end. 🧡
