Yesterday I had the pleasure of tackling a bigger job than my typical minivan; a full interior deep cleaning on this 25’ cabin cruiser! (Port, Cabin, Kitchen, Bathroom)

Dave & Alisyn reached out to me looking to have this rig completely turned around for the upcoming season & I was eager to be of service!

Before I started, the carpets, vinyl & paint were showing their age. Scuffs, stains, crumbs; a badge of honor earned over years of fun on the water.

The sheer amount of space to be covered & every crevasse waiting to be hit was admittingly overwhelming at first; but I stuck my nose to the grindstone & had at it!

After 3 hours of NON-STOP detailing expertise; this is how I had it looking!

Stain free, scuff free, scum free!

The best part about it?

Dave & Alisyn never had to take it anywhere!

I showed up at their residence exactly on time, introduced myself & got to work immediately!

This was Porsche 2 of 2 from last weeks details!

The day after completing the 911 GTS for Prince I had the opportunity to do another Porsche; this time it was a beautiful ‘22 Macan for my client Steve.

When Steve reached out to me, he brought a new challenge; that challenge being working with a vehicle that’s FULLY wrapped in PPF (Paint Protection Film).

This is Steve’s daily, that being said he mentioned that the shine the car once had was diminished by the years of use. There were imperfections on the wrap as well as inside the wrap; and with it being plastic based coating and not paint like a typical car, you can’t buff that.

I personally have never tackled a “wrap correction” prior to this, but that didn’t shy me away from completing the job for him.

After a couple days worth of researching both online & with fellow detailers, I came up with a game plan & got it done for him!

After that, I got his interior nice & spotless. I scrubbed the dirt out of every crack, crevasse & cranny & even blew out the air vents to get the grime we couldn’t see!

The best part about all of that?

Steve didn’t have to leave the house!

I came to him at the exact time we scheduled for & got straight to it!

The price for all of that? $270!

I’m starting to get busy again & you can see why!

We’ve graduated from Corollas to Porsches!

A year ago when I started this business I could have only imagined being blessed with the opportunities that I’ve had this week!

This is Porsche 1 out of 2 for the week; a beautiful 2019 Carrera GTS 6-speed

Prince Motors wanted to get this vehicle as perfect as possible for one of their personal customers; luckily for them, they recently acquired a detailer that only offers that type of result.

They handed it off to me & I got straight to work.

After half a day spent on the interior & 3/4 of a day spent on the exterior, this is how I had it looking!

From what I’ve heard, this car is used primarily for track use; and if that’s true, then I’d put money on this Porsche being the cleanest on the track.

What a pleasure and experience this car was to clean up. I never got to meet the customer personally; but if you’re reading this thank you for trusting Prince Motors (& by extension) Tulip City Mobile Shine.

A year ago today I left a perfectly good full time job in pursuit of a dream.

A dream made up of 3 simple things:

1. Being my own boss
2. Doing something I love for a living
3. Providing a professional service at a price that’s affordable as well as sufficient for myself

365 days later, I’m not dreaming anymore and I owe it all to you beautiful people.

I’m outside again!

Mother Nature is still on the fence about giving us more than a couple warm days; but when the weather cooperates I take full advantage of it!

Hello & happy holidays everyone!

I have more exciting news!

I wanted to give myself a week to fully settle in before I made the announcement, but I recently started working with Prince Motors!

That being said, if you’re in the market for a VERY CLEAN used car; check them out! They’re located right off Chicago Dr. in Hudsonville; I’ll be cleaning as many as possible for the foreseeable future.

13 years ago I started my detailing journey as an employee for the very same dealership; so to have the opportunity to come back and work as a partner is something I’m very thankful and excited about.

You may be wondering if this will hinder the amount of details I can do outside of what I complete weekly for them, and the answer is no!

My partners at Prince want to see me grow just as much as I do & have agreed to work with me as far as scheduling goes; which I’m very grateful for.

I may not have the same next day convenience that I’m used to, but a little give & take is needed in order to grow TCMS to its full potential.

I’m very excited to start this new chapter & see what God has in store for me next.

Hello everyone,

First and foremost I apologize for the lack of content lately; I am still up & operating despite the cold!

However, with things slowing down over the winter I’ve been collecting & holding onto new content so that I can keep consistently posting & show you all the cool jobs i’ve completed throughout the winter. Sorry for the wait!

Secondly, I feel the need to address a loss that I take with a heavy heart; my friend & first ever customer Mr. George Julius Jr.

Without George there wouldn’t be a Tulip City Mobile Shine. When I met him I had no intention of starting a business, I was just cleaning up a car for a friend of my Mom’s to make a little extra money. I always had the passion for detailing & wanted to start something of my own, but felt too scared / too held back to take that jump. That all changed when I met George.

Upon completing his detail he came outside & did a couple laps around the car looking it over; after he came back to me and said something to me I’ll never forget. “You did more than I expected you to, you did a great job & I’d look outside now & then & never saw you take a break. If you keep working like that, you’re going to be a very successful man.” Those sentences gave me that last push that I needed, the words hit me like a gust of air being blown on hot coals & lit the fire that started TCMS. After that a bond was created & George became my first ever regular customer. I always looked forward to seeing him. I never got the chance to tell him how grateful I was for what he said or the opportunity to give him credit for what he started here, but it needs to be expressed regardless.

Rest in peace George Julius Jr.
