Thank you, Evansville.

Thank you to Watkins Temple COGIC and New Hope Baptist Church for opening your lot and your hearts. After everybody told me no, the churches said yes — and that is what makes a grown man cry tears of joy.

Thank you to every parent and every child who came, to every volunteer who stood with us, and to every giver who put a donation in the black buckets. Thank you for praying with us — for the children, for the parents, and for hurting families.

This was our Community Harvest Festival, a Christian Safe Space, Trick-or-Treating of Blessings, on October 30, 2026. And this is only year one. We will do it again, every October 30.

Everybody told this Black man no.

The street permit said no. The community said no. Support came back zero.

But he got permission from the church. Watkins Temple COGIC and New Hope Baptist Church said yes — use the parking lot.

So he is still pushing forward with the little he has, knowing everybody is saying no.

That's why it's based on donations. No one is turned away. He is proving his case with the work itself — the proof is in the pudding — and he is still pushing on.

A PRAYER REQUEST — FROM MY HEART

I'm not asking for money in this post. I'm asking for prayer.

Friday, October 30, 2:00–7:00 PM, Watkins Temple COGIC, Evansville — our Community Harvest Festival. On paper it's a festival. In my spirit, it's an altar.

I want children to pray. I want parents to pray. I want hurting families to encounter the light, love, and hope of God. At 5:15 PM the whole grounds will stop, and this community will pray together — Prayer Over Problems.

Doors have closed this week. The whole day rests on a church board's vote this Sunday. So pray with us: that the board says yes, that every child meets Jesus and not just candy, that every need is supplied — not one thing missing.
