The Grand Gardner Hotel. Final chapter. ✨

From the very first design sketch in January 2025 to the last drain tied in on the north side, this project has been one of the most ambitious, challenging, and rewarding builds our team has ever taken on. Here is a quick look at everything that went into making this space what it is today. 👇

Ryan and Dean share their final thoughts in this last video, and it is safe to say the feeling of seeing it all come together makes every long day, every curveball, and every problem solved completely worth it. 🙌

Ryan put it best. This project has been a long time coming. The design process alone started over a year before a single shovel hit the ground, and the build itself brought challenge after challenge. Grading issues, drainage engineering, custom railings, plant selection, and more. But watching it all come to life, seeing a space that was just lines on paper turn into something guests can actually sit in, enjoy a drink at, and experience, that is what it is all about. 🥂 This one means a lot. 💙

Grand Gardner Hotel, Part 4! 

Not every part of a project is glamorous, but every part matters. 💪 The north side of the hotel came with some serious challenges. The elevation change from the alley created a complex grading situation and our team had to engineer the entire area to move water away from the building and the sidewalk without creating any pooling or drainage issues. 🌊

The solution was a full French drain system tied into the storm water drain, downspouts, and yard drainage to make sure every drop of water goes exactly where it needs to go. 💧 Street drains, yard drains, landscape drains, all working together as one complete system.

The back parking area needed attention too. 🚗 With parking extremely limited, every single spot is valuable, so we installed safety rails and lighting to make sure those spots can be used safely at any hour. 💡

For the lawn area on the north side, rather than fight the shaded conditions with plantings that would struggle, Ryan pivoted the design to use RTF grass. 🌱 A tough, shade-tolerant variety that fills the space beautifully and takes one more worry off the table.

Grand Gardner Hotel — Part 3 is live! 🔥🏨

Just outside the hotel’s reception area sits one of our favorite features of this entire project — the firepit area. 🔥 Perched well above street level, this space needed more than just great design. Ryan worked closely with our crew to engineer custom railing that keeps guests safe without sacrificing that cozy, open feel or the incredible view. 👌

The large walls and planter spaces are filled with purpose too. 🌿 We teamed up with Niemeyer’s Landscape Supply to hand-select plants that work perfectly within each space — elevating the overall design and making sure every corner of this project feels intentional. 🌸🌳

The signage is still on its way — and we cannot wait to see the finished look once it’s installed. 👀

And the grass? 🌱 Coming in beautifully — even with an early summer install. Nature always delivers. 😊
