The Greenwood Police Department is incredibly grateful for Frank’s continued generosity and support of the men and women who serve our community. Gestures like this mean more than a clean patrol car—they remind our officers that the community stands behind them and appreciates the work they do each day.

As Districts 50 and 52 head back to school tomorrow, you may notice an increased law enforcement presence at some schools during morning arrival.

Our officers are looking forward to welcoming students back by opening car doors at some schools to help with drop off. We hope these interactions help create a positive first day experience and build strong relationships between students and law enforcement from the very start of the school year.

Please use extra caution in school zones, allow a little extra travel time, and help us make it a great first day back. We wish all students, teachers, and staff a safe and successful school year!

Venue Change for Greenwood County Council Meeting

Greenwood County Council will hold its Tuesday, July 21, 2026, meeting at the Greenwood Performing Arts Center at Greenwood High School, located at 1816 Cokesbury Road. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
