What comes out during a green pool cleanup… 🤢🟢

This isn’t a swamp — it’s the water being flushed out during a backwash from a severely algae-filled pool.

When a pool turns green, the filter ends up trapping huge amounts of dead algae, debris, and contaminants. During cleanup, we have to repeatedly clean and backwash the system to remove all that buildup and keep the filtration working properly.

A lot of people think clearing a green pool is just “adding chlorine”… but the reality is:
✔ Multiple chemical treatments
✔ Constant brushing
✔ Vacuuming debris
✔ Filter cleanings/backwashing
✔ Continuous monitoring and balancing

🎓 Pool School Wednesday – Lesson #5: Why Pool Water Turns Cloudy

If your pool starts looking cloudy, it’s usually your first warning sign that something is off 👀

Common causes include:
💦 Poor circulation
💦 Dirty or clogged filters
💦 Low chlorine levels
💦 Buildup like phosphates or calcium

👉 Bottom line: Cloudy water doesn’t fix itself—and the longer it’s ignored, the worse (and greener) it can get.

Catching it early is the key to avoiding bigger problems.
