Remember sand filters are the life of a pool. The filter out all the sediments and contaminants in the water. Not to mention keep the pool crystal clear. Backwash at least 1 once a month. And change sand every 5 years.

Save money in the long run. Get a new salt system installed. I have Jandy and Hayward on hand!
