🕷️ Yes… Black Widows ARE in Chester County!

We came across this little surprise while servicing a customer's home right here in Chester County.

Black widow spiders are native to Pennsylvania, but they're considered relatively rare to encounter, which makes finding one like this pretty interesting! They typically prefer dark, quiet, undisturbed areas like garages, woodpiles, sheds, crawl spaces, and around stored materials.

The good news? Black widows aren't out looking for people to bite. They're generally reclusive and bites are uncommon—but because their venom can be medically significant, they're definitely a spider you want to recognize and give some space.
