Today, I sent my littles off for their day back to school. My son had his last first day of elementary school, and my daughter had her first day of 3rd grade. This summer came and went without me even realizing that school is back in session and my birthday is on Sunday, which I have absolutely no plans for except probably working.😂
This summer has been a wild ride.
Confusion in their monthly visit to their dads, childcare issues, having to bring them with me to some jobs to get them completed, having to reschedule jobs to work around them so they weren’t out all night and losing sleep, trying to scram to get everything they needed for their new year, trying to maintain everything in my household while setting up an office, while dealing with employees showing out and quitting then wanting their job back and quitting again - leaving me high and dry to do it all alone, along with so many other trials and struggles.
For all of the clients that have been patient with me this summer, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU. I cannot thank you enough for having grace with me. As you all know, I had brain surgery last year (September 24th will be one year post-op). It was a major brain surgery that cut the entire back of my head from the top to the bottom of my neck open. I had a chunk of my skull removed. With that surgery, I have thankfully and been blessed enough to recover amazingly. With that being said, the surgery has also slowed me down quite a bit compared to what I was before it occurred. I get really bad dizzy spells and have to sit down, my vision gets super blurry, if I get too hot - I get dizzy and nearly pass out, and more. I also then had skin cancer removed in January of this year, and UCL reconstruction surgery on my right thumb in April this year. 😅
The busy season has for sure been BUSY and I am so grateful for every single one of you who have kept me that way. I have also worked since May 17th with roughly 5 days off between then and now. Within THREE months, I have had FIVE days off (2 of them for my son’s birthday).
I know I have asked for a lot, but I am asking for a little bit more grace and understanding for just a little longer as we settle back into the routine of school, catching up on jobs, trying to hire more hands, and all of life’s other obstacles. I am doing 98% of these jobs ALONE at the moment while being a full-time mom to two kids. Their dad and my whole family lives 3 hours away. The only childcare resource I have is my children’s great grandparents who are in their 80s and cannot do as much as they used to.
I/We will get caught up. I will return text messages, messenger messages, and phone calls as soon as I get the chance. I promise. Right now, it is hard to get the chance to breathe some days. We love every single person who is a client, who has referred us, who has inquired with us (even if you didn’t use our services), and everyone who has supported us. Silently or publicly.
