Hey homeowners

Today I’m going to give you the secret sauce to washing your dirty gutters and actually show you how to do it yourself.

So first as you can see here in the video I’m rinsing off as much loose debris, sap from the trees and excess matter from the gutter.

Next I have a brush head attached to a 12 ft pole and the secret sauce to make these gutters come clean is a gallon of La’s awesome cleaning detergent. You can usually find that soap at the dollar store or the big box home improvement stores. You’re going to want to grab a 5 gallon bucket, fill it with water and you put about a quarter of that stuff to 5 gallons. More if the gutters are super dirty.

Now as you can see in the video as soon as I brush the gutters I’m letting it sit for a little bit and then rinsing it off. You do not want to let this stuff sit as it will eat up the gutters and discolor the gutters if they are painted.

Also last tip is instead of the yellow brush head you want to use the blue brush head which is softer and will hold on to product longer. You can usually find that brush head at the window cleaning section of the big box home improvement stores. I only had the yellow with me on this job so I had to make due and it still works but the blue one is better.

Make sure you rinse thoroughly and be careful if you’re on a ladder! Use a longer pole if you can they make them to reach 28 ft if needed. Also in the window cleaning section.
