What does it mean when we ask how you want your shirts starched?
Here at Citywide we use an in-wash sizing that is made from corn starch, hence the question "Would you like your shirt starched?" We can add as little and as much as you would like.
What is the purpose?
Well, starch helps us press your garments with a professional finish, as well as adding protection from dirt and sweat. Since we use one that goes in the last rinse cycle of the wash, the garments are pressed while they are wet to give you the optimum crispiness!

Starch works best on natural fibers such as cotton or linen. Avoid use on delicate fibers such as wool or cashmere.
