Julie Shirah, with Blue Ridge Medical Center Center is the Ambassador for the 3rd Quarter. Julie holds a master’s degree from The Ohio State University and has dedicated 23 years of service to Blue Ridge Medical Center (BRMC). Recruited from St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta, a recipient of the prestigious McCauley Award, Julie developed and continues to lead BRMC’s highly successful Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. She is a passionate advocate for the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, helping people and businesses redirect their Georgia income tax dollars, funds they already owe to the state, back into the local community to support Blue Ridge Medical Center. Through these efforts, Georgia HEART helps expand access to high-quality healthcare close to home and strengthens the future of rural healthcare in our community. Julie currently serves as President of the BRMC Foundation and is a member of the Fannin County Economic Development Housing Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Blue Ridge Business Association (BRBA), the Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association (LBRCA), and Impact100 Fannin. Julie volunteers in her church nursery and assists with the adult Hispanic Bible study class.
