What does a flood cleanup actually involve? 🌊
Swipe to see what it looks like on a real job.
Floodwater is not clean water. It carries mud, silt and bacteria into drywall, trim and framing, and mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours if those materials stay wet.
Here is how we handle it:
1️⃣ Contain the work area so dust and spores do not spread to clean parts of the home
2️⃣ Use a moisture meter to find the flood line, then cut out only the wet lower section of the walls
3️⃣ Clear and bag the debris
4️⃣ Treat the exposed framing and the crawlspace with antimicrobial 5️⃣ Fog the crawlspace with a bio-oxygen and antimicrobial treatment to neutralize leftover spores and odors
Everything above the flood line stays in place. Once the framing is dry, the space is ready for your contractor to rebuild.
If water got into your home, do not wait for a musty smell. Take photos of everything first (your insurance company will want them), then call us.
